22oz bomber pours with a deep infra red to ruby red to mahogany colored body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up prunes, black grapes, some blueberry, chocolate malts and caramel malts with a vanilla note at the end of the draw The taste delivers a pleasing blend of chocolate and pumpkin leading quickly into a yeasty spiciness, raisins, prunes and a sliver of molasses. Towards the finish a vanilla sweetness murmurs to the surface as well as light spicy cinnamon and faint ginger like sharpness. There’s a lot going on here but the fruit sweetness, pumpkin and spice and chocolate vanilla all comes together with a harmonious flavor chorus.

Draught @ Albion. Draught @ Albion. Cloudy dark orange with small foamy off-white head, very faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy taste with a hint of pineapple, thin body, long bitter finish. A bit on the bitter side.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma is musty/cherry/woody/sour. Near full bodied. Flavor is heavy treacle, musty/woody/earthy/sour/berry. And maybe chocolate. There’s a lot going on here. It’s not dry, but it seems dry. It’s not bitter, but there’s some bitter aspects. It’s woody/oaky/fruity/sour - but the sour is rather mild. This is not BFM mouth rending sour. It is a decent sour red/brown. I recommend it.

22oz bomber pours with a clear amber brown body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up a bunch of stuff like chocolate, spicy oak, caramel, molasses sweetened bourbon, some dark roasted malts, a vague faint fruity tartness and then equally faint aged blunted pine hops. The taste begins with firm smooth and even soft bourbon notes and then picking up a blend of chocolate, spicy oak, caramel and a mild tart cherry sensation. It ends mainly on the chocolate side with persistent murmurs of bourbon, sweetened spicy oak booze. This one is growing on me. A one ounce sample would have scored far different than this bomber sample.

5 oz tulip taster glass draft at the Burg and Barrel in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a slightly hazed golden yellow with a foamy white head. Nice lace on the glass, rare for a taster size. The aroma is fresh peach fruit, nice resin and floral hop towards the back - nose is all hop. The taste is the fruit and skin of the peach, fresh and natural, picks up apricot flavor along with some of the floral resin earth towards the back. As with the nose, all about the fruit and hops. The palate is light bodied with soft carbonation and peach with mineral bitter resin in the finish. Tasty, though I had zero pepper flavor or heat in this.
