12oz bottle. Poured a pretty dark brown color, with a light tan head. Aroma was earthy hops, lots of roasted malts. Light chocolate. Flavor was light floral notes, lots of herbal, earthy notes. Touch boozy. Okay, actually liked it better than the Stone Enjoy By Black IPA, so there’s that at least.

Saturday night bottle share. Bottle thanks to Rick. Lively bottle foamed up on opening, and didn’t settle down for a while, but it was still good. Tart and funky as the name implies.

22oz bottle thanks to rick. Pours out a dark amber topped with a tan head. nose is sour cherries big barrel notes vanilla plenty sweetness. Taste is more of the sweetness cherries sour some dark notes.

Shared a bottle with some friends. Poured extremely dark, nearly stark black color with some light cola notes on the edges. Aroma was lots of dark caramel, dried raisins, boozy grains. Light vanilla, rum, rum raisin. Flavor has very similar notes, lots of hot caramel notes, raisins, plums, with candi notes. Alcohol is really burning hot in this one, despite some age on it. After having this one and 17, it’s nice to see they’re dialing back on these malt,booze bombs.

[1/28/16] Draught at Almanac & Friends Sourfest at MaSo at Park Central Hotel in San Francisco. Black with a tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, oak, dark fruits. Sweet-sourish flavor with chocolate, bourbon, caramel, dark fruits, oak, vanilla. Quite full-bodied.

Bottle. Red cherry, bourbon, toffee malt, and light hay aroma. Dark chestnut with small head. Sweet cherry, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Light bourbon finish. Pretty good.

Tap at Draught 55 as part of monthly baby brunch which is great combination of little one getting to listen to kids songs amd me drinking beer. Golden pour and white head. Nose is light hops and soft malt. Tastes of tropical hops, only lightly bitter, some golden malt, grains, and yeast. Fine palate tasty lager.

A hazed golden lager with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, light treacle, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, solid lager. On tap at CNY Brewfest 2016.
