Cellared in my cellar since purchase. Small slow gusher upon opening.Black in color liquid. The aroma is very acidic with sour grapes and funky Oak. The flavor is dominant and funky oak, mild red grape, acidic aftertaste. Finn and body without any character. To be fair I don’t really like the style at all .... I purchased this on a whim.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown cola color. Small frothy beige head. Nose is full of spices. Cinnamon, cocoa and ginger. First sip is toasted malt and lot’s of spice. More cinnamon, ginger and vanilla upfront. There is a subtle underlying heat from the Chili pepper, though it is subdued at first. Midtaste brings the cocoa and more spice. Warming alcohol and pepper becomes more present. Sticky mouthfeel in finish. Herbal hops as well. Lot’s of flavors going on here. A bit overwhelming.

On tap at Rattle n Hum - East, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of pumpkin upfront, with caramel malt. Flavour is very spicy, full of pumpkin and nutmeg especially. Lots of depth, but too much nutmeg for my liking. Decently made for what it is.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours reddish hazel, small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is REALLY spiced, almost like a pumpkin beer, cinnamon, allspice, vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, very very spiced with a bit of chili pepper but little actual head. Medium light body.

Draught @ Albion. Clear dark amber with small frothy beige head, faint vanilla aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter caramel-vanilla and bacon taste, alcohol undertones, smooth body, longish bitter caramel finish. Interesting, a bit on the bitter side.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a murky bronzed orange color with a one finger white foamy head. Quick dissipation. Foamy rings of clingy lace.
The aroma starts sweet bready with sweet grassy hops that spike the breadiness cleanly sending a stellar balance of it all hitting my nose. Light lemon blends in as it warms. Really nice!
The flavor takes it all in to bring the maltiness forward sweetly with a dry underscore of some bitter hops. The aftertaste is sweet crisp breadiness with a quick sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fantastic sessionability about it. Low carbonation. Semi-sticky but good, not cloying.
Overall, damn nice pale lager. I’d be glad to have this again.

Draft at Slaters. Dark brown pour. Delicious aroma of bourbon vanilla, riasin and caramelised malt. Taste has thick sweet vanilla, raisin, caramelised malt, booze, ripe red fruit and a long finish. Sorry Germans, the jews have brewed the best doppelbock I ever had

On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Cloudy brown color, with a medium, fine, tan head. The aroma is chocolate pudding, vanilla, black cherries, and maple. Sweet and malty up front, with a smooth transition to sour. Medium body, creamy and smooth mouthfeel. This is a truly unique beer, and the best sour stout I’ve tried.
