12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. Frothy, respectable off-white head. India Pale Lager all the way. Very clean body, nice smooth lager tones. Nice hop balance, some depth there. Incorporates the rye and wheat pretty well. Unique, well crafted. Good.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving slight sheets. Sourdough and earthy caramel aromas. Medium bodied with hot caramel and sweet earthy toast upfront turning a rancid lasting earth finish. Session double IPA is an oxymoron - and this one is way too hot for a session....

12oz bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, malt balls, chocolate malts and then a faint hodgepodge of hoppiness where maybe a sprinkle is noticed just above a sliver of dark fruity esters. The taste begins with a pleasing blend of chocolate and dark roasted malts and sweet dark fruity esters and then a bit of spicy black licorice. This reminds me of anniversary 8 and if a bit hoppier 9. After a few more sips I start to notice bitter floral and pine hops surface about midway. The taste seems to evolve as I’m getting rich dark chocolate notes and a dash of nuttiness now. Fun beer.
