Fluffy, whipped eggwhite-like head, stable over finely carbonated, clear metallic golden beer. Fresh, but also catty hops, green & dried leaves - dried lunaria? Muscat grapes. Again grapey as flavour, fresh hoppy; much less catty than the nose suggested. Quite slick, hopoily, very well-carbonated. In the end, a bit sticky to the lip. Decent, not really great. Txs to Stef!

Geproefd op 3 mei tijdens het: 1ste Internationaal Bierfestival " De Wildeman " in Dendermonde.
Veel bruinig schuim dat snel weggaat, donkerrood uitzicht. Aroma: zoete alcohol, smaak: zoete alcohol, citrus, nasmaak: zoete alcohol, citrus, bitterig op het eind beetje wrange alcohol.

Pours slightly unclear blonde, small white head. Scent is mild. Some BE yeast, restrained intensity. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, but very sweet. Yeaststress, banana overkill. Touch diacetyl perhaps ( served from tap, so might be due to the bar). Not great, at all.

Fles gekregen van "de Goede Oude Tijd" thuis geprobeerd met. Het heeft een aroma van mout, gist en hop. De smaak is moutig, fris zuur en citrus achtig.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, average to medium sized light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, heavy heavy espresso. Flavor is malts, dark malts, espresso, roasty bitters, coffee roast. Decent to medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyable for sure. You've gotta like coffee though.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark mahogany with light head. Aromas of candi sugar, oak, faint bourbon, raisins and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with a bit of copper, but without much bourbon. A nice quad like barley wine.

A: rich dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, cocoa, whisky touch, woody, liquorice.
T: full malty base, almost the same as in aroma, more woody, whisky traces, cocoa, spicy, I am almost sure there is not 13%, this is not bad but sure should be more complex to be really great, enjoyed.
F: medium, tanned, average retention.
C: black, opaque.
