Bottle from Peckhams, Glasgow. Very deep copper colour with lasting beige head. Tasty dry malt aroma. Tasty malty beer, with a milk choc character. Some dried fruit. Dry malt. Fine. Lacks a bit of bite. Some nuttiness, walnuts. Some toffee. Godd.

Bottle from Peckhams, Glasgow. Copper, disappearing beige head. Oddish mix of dried fruit and dry malt, some dusty hop. Fine in mouth, bit of candy sugar and cut glass. Lots of dry malt. OK, but I’m not keen.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Pale amber. Heavy aroma of crême brulée. Sweet and medium bodied with burnt caramel and notes of raspberries. Intensely estery. Some of these flavours are not intended, but I like it anyway.

Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. Deep golden. Yeasty sour nose. with seville orange marmelade. Sweet abnd fruity, mediu mbodied with sticky mouthfeel. Sour finish. Ehhh...

Cask handpull at The 78, Glasgow. Gold, lasting white head. Really bubble gummy, odd passionfruit flavour. Decent faint hop. Fine, well made, just not great flavours.

500ml bottle at 78, Glasgow. Deep russet colour with thin beige head. It’s been filtered and pasteurised, so pretty empty in mouth, some decet malt, bit of brown sugar, some raisin and red berry, bit of dry chocolate. Fine.

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, B2, Birmingham. Clear yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light strawberry. Initail flavor is moderate sweet, middel flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic, finish flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Very nice and refreshing. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

[i] Bottle, Many thanks to Craig aka Cgarvieuk for picking this up for me [/i] This poured black with a busy beige head, nice roasted aroma. This beer was truly lovely, nothing complicated just a simple stout done very well, nice roasted smoky flavours tempered with just the right amount of sweetness to take off the bitter edge, good vanilla and chocolaty creaminess in the background contribute to make this a really nice beer.

On tap (in the suburbs of Inverness): Deep golden, small layer; delicate fruity (lemons, oranges) and malty nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet taste; some citrousy traces in the bitter and tart finish. O.K., unspectacular........
