Bottle at blind tasting. Mid gold colour with lasting white head. Peachy/apricot aroma. Bit weird. Too sweet in the mouth. Ugh, not pleasant. Honey, and dryish on end. Vanilla. Sickly alcohol. 1.5 Bottle from Terre de Boissons in Calais, some apple peach flavour, but it’s fine. OK strong beer, won’t buy it again, but it’s inoffensive.

Bottle. Pours a black colour with a tan head. Roasted malty aroma with hints of caramel and coffee. Roasted malty flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has light roasted finish with some bitterness.

Cask half-pint at NERAX 5/4/06. Brassy-yellow, dried pineapple colored body is bright, with a small, white head, moderately-well retained and lacing very lightly. Fresh fruity hops rise up from the glass (light nectarines, apricots) while nearly juicy pale malts and some light citrus on end combine to keep things snappy and rather dry. Very fruity flavor, with dry pale malts, light straw, dry wafers and golden raisins (very faint) to balance. Bubbly, crisp and with a strong yeasty, doughy and somehow earthy (more like baked clay) note. Didnt realize there was wheat in it, but assuming that just balances the sweet pale malts and fruitiness, it works well.

A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and roasted, and so is the flavor, but here notes of coffee also come thru, leading to a dry roasted end.

Cask at Market Porter, LondonDark color, mahogany. Some sourness in the aroma (suspicious…). Good bofy, sweet, a bit sour with strong fruity notes of Strawberry Grape (Uva Fragola). Very original, very pleasant.

(On tap) Clear and black with a reddish hue. No head and completely flat. Distinct aroma of coffee. Very roasted malt character and again - weakly burned flavours of coffee. Quite pleasant. 301005
