Description
Many moons ago, in the black of the night, Viking invaders were about to attack our hometown of Stirling, when a howling wolf alerted the defenders, who saved the town. We raise a glass to that wolf. The Black Wolf.

Started brewing in January 2004 using the name City of Stirling Brewery. It was initially a sister brewery to Bridge of Allen and Trossachs Craft Brewery. During late 2005 a new company was formed to allow further investment and the brewery name was changed to just Stirling Brewery at the same time. The name then changed to Traditional Scottish Ales Ltd in 2006. The name changed once more in 2014 to its current version.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit and hops, mwith floral and malty notes. Bitter and floral taste of hops and fruit, with malty and estery notes and touches of pepper and coriander. Bitterish and estery aftertaste with fruity notes. Reasonable but nothing really special.

Bottle, 4.8%. Citric aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Very small unstable white head. The flavour is OK malty with a mild citrus and perhaps also floral hop note. Quite bitter finish, and slightly astringent. Good mouthfeel.
