Description
The process of brewing beer hasn’t changed much since we started back in 1777. And neither has our unique approach to crafting characterful beer. But our equipment most certainly has.

Our state-of-the-art, independent, family-owned brewery now stands proudly alongside our old brewery on the banks of the River Stour in Blandford, Dorset. Using the finest ingredients and over 240 years of expertise, our brewers create beer that brims with flavour.

Bottle from somewhere. Had in Eastbourne at home. Pub floor aroma. Caramel colour. Standard bitter / golden ale here with reasonable ending. Did the job but forgetful. (20/6/24).

Bottle, again from somewhere. Not sure how I ende up having to have this twice in two years. Synthetic elderflower on the nose. Bit soapy. Not very pleasant fake elderflower taste. 5.5 to 5. (24/4/25).

Rocky white head left a creamy cover on a pale copper coloured body. Malt, bitter & biscuit aroma - Proper Old School. Medium bodied, smooth with a crisp back. Malt, digestive, toffee & berry tastes with a bitter lightly hopped finish. Well Balanced - Contrary to popular I think that's a decent Ale.

Can at home, thanks to Sharon for sticking in the Waitrose order, 19/06/24. Golden copper with a good sized lasting egg shell white head. Nose is orange zest, grass, toasted malts, citric tinged straw, light perfume, melon. Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, hint of caramel, airy malts, tangerine, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with mellow hop bitterness. Better than I'd expected ... just an easy drinking mellow hopped beer that doesn't require too much thought.

Bottle. Nose is immediately too bright: smells of coffee Syrup/ flavourings with slight buried earth and caramel ice cream. A check of the bottle confirms flavourings are added. Taste is coffee Syrup caramel and brown sugar. A glass of syrup. Very poor
