Description
The process of brewing beer hasn’t changed much since we started back in 1777. And neither has our unique approach to crafting characterful beer. But our equipment most certainly has.

Our state-of-the-art, independent, family-owned brewery now stands proudly alongside our old brewery on the banks of the River Stour in Blandford, Dorset. Using the finest ingredients and over 240 years of expertise, our brewers create beer that brims with flavour.

500 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Dark brown to black colour, large off-white to beige head. Strong aroma of coffee, roast malts, caramel and toffee. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of roast malts and coffee, also caramel, treacle and toffee, but not too sweet. Moderate bittering hops in the finish.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Steady beige head leaving clingy lacing on the glass, black body with a deep ruby shade. A fragrant smell of toffee and earthy malts. Well balanced malt-driven taste of toffee and chocolate with a backdrop of coffee towards a mid-sweet, nicely roasted, drying close. Fine bodied. Good drinking on a Sunday afternoon. 500ml Bottle from Sainsburys. Pours near black with a thick, creamy, off-white head, that left large amounts of lacing down the glass. Aroma of rich coffee, chocolate fondant and a trace of vanilla. Flavour had some more sweetness upfront, before drying coffee notes kicked in leading to a lingering and rich finish. Great appearance and depth of character - the quality of Badger's bottled bears has vastly improved in recent years, I really enjoyed this one.
