From tap at Stub and Herbs. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and cornish. Bitter and fruity estery. Light peppery and mild toasted malty. Medium dry and light estery finish.

I thought this was on cask but maybe I am not remembering correcting. Black. Almost no carbonation. Very smooth palate and a thick, heavy beer. The alcohol is well hidden. There is light smoke and chocolate with heavily roasted malt. I can’t say I actually taste bacon but I assume that is the where the smoke is coming from.

Pours a dark, coppery-brown, with small head. Strong aroma of nuts and malt. Flavor is very nutty--the hazelnuts are especially apparent. There’s a smooth, sweet underlying maltiness and a rather bitter finish. Quite good.

Pours a darkish amber with thin head. Some spice aroma. The cardamom is really heavy in the flavor, which is also very boozy. The alcohol content is quite evident. Not as complexly flavorful or as subtle as some barley wines. And as others have mentioned, this really is overpriced for what it is.

Pours a dark, golden-yellow, with little in the way of head. Strong hop-pine nose. Flavor is dominated by the piney-bitter hops, with citrus notes and some subtle, underlying malt sweetness. Nice, clean mouthfeel with bitter hop finish. This is a strong IPA.

750ml bottle ’11 #2265-tan-copper/red. A-med malt, dark fruit, then plenty of hot bourbon, wood. T-bourbon, med malt-caramel/some cocoa, vanilla, dark fruit and more bourbon. Sipping, medium body, boozy. T-warmer is better, A-cooler is better.

Tap. Pours hazy golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is yeast, wheat and honey. Flavor is lightly sweet, with yeast notes more prominent than in aroma, plus apple and a bit of spice. Medium body, silky in the mouth, quite refreshing actually.

Tap @ Northbound. Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Kind of resiny, lightly piney, somewhat bitter hoppy aroma. A bit chewy, grapefruity, bitter piney hoppy, mild citrusy flavor. Pretty decent.

Autumn Brew Review 2012. I do not care for this. Too much alcohol character. some oak, but in the flavor the bourbon overwhelms the malt and any complexity that might be there.

Bottle thanks to Eric! Pours a dark brown color with a thick brown head. A nice nose of roast and coffee. A very good flavor of milky coffee, roast, light caramel, not much whiskey but a fiery bite. Nice.
