12 oz bottle purchased at Princeton Liquors in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The pour is a lightly hazed orange golden with a ½ inch mostly white head that falls quick. The aroma is citrus, orange peel, and husky grain. The taste is the grainy, not so fresh malt up front followed by the lightly bitter citrus, and finishing with a dry floral mineral character. The palate is medium bodied, lower carbonation level, and the dry finish. Just OK.

12oz bottle. Amberish ruby-red, filtered body. Thin, oily beige head. Sweet, mild aroma. On the fuller side of medium bodied, this is a pretty well done Brown Ale. There is certainly a nice nutty depth, but it is incorporated right into the sweet malt tones. A really worthwhile beer to seek out for Nut Brown enthusiasts.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan body. Foamy off-white head. Strikes me as a classic American IPA..big bold NW hops tones, rich body, crystal malt tones. Orange, grapefruit, mango..lots of hop depth. Solid offering.

12oz bottle. Grapefruit peel makes sense. Orange-tan body, creamy off-white head. Medium to full bodied, the grapefruit rind is sort of an odd call, considering you can get more enjoyable, very similar tones with hops. Ends of having a fruit beer taste almost, and while it is clean, just isn’t really what I’d look for in a session Pale Ale. OK.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a clear apricot with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of grassy and light citrus hops with some light sweet grains underlying. Flavor has light citrus up front with a touch of light fruit, grass and sweet grains underlying.

Bomber thanks to CLevar. Pours a jet black color with a medium light brown head with some reddish tint. A light nose of tobacco and cocoa. The flavor is excellent: rum, coconut, some roast, metal, dark fruit, very dry at times, big bitter chocolates. Light heat, but overall quite drinkable (disclaimer, I did get buzzed quick whilst grading papers). Very good.

Firkin Fest 2013. Pink color. Lots of yeast and sweet fruit flavor. Being pomegranate, they might have made this more tart instead. Still, it is decent for a sweet fruit beer using a fruit that we seldom see used with beer.

Firkin Fest 2013. More of a dry stout. No perceivable banana, but there is cocoa. It is a solid stout even without the fruit. Thick, and smooth palate. Up the banana flavor.

Bourbon and cherry in the aroma. Sweet malt and dry wood in the flavor, which also has roasted grains. Black color. It doesn’t fit into any style very well, so I went with the same classification as the Town Hall Manhattan barrel. This is a solid beer, if not quite as rich and full flavored as the Town Hall version.
