Bottle from Biervana, Munich, 12th January 19. Love Biervana! Pours a clear light copper colour. Aroma is light smoke, caramel. Taste is light smoke, wood, oily palate, low carbonation, sweet smokey finish. Awesome.

250 mi. flowed by 500 ml. draft @ In De WIldeman. Very dark amber, very dark off-white head. Nose is all smoke, bacon, umami smoked caramel heavy Lapsang-Souchong tea. Taste is quite heavy sweeter caramel heavy in the finish amazingly balancing the smoke, bacon, toffee, caramel, Lapsang Souchong almost hint of mocha in the smoke,… Spectacularly drinkable low sweet caramel oily body. Astonishingly good – I got a second double pour which is not my normal operandus and I would have gotten another one if I didn’t have to catch a train. This beer is rated way too low here.

Draught @ In De Wildeman. Clear dark brown colour with a beige head with reasonable retention. Aroma's: smoked, bacon, lapsang souchon. Sweetish and smoked retronasal. Flavour: moedrate sweet'n'bitter with light fruit. Medium bodied. Moedrate bitter finish. Lovely stuff.

Fat på Zumen. En rauchbier med en ganska lätt mörk maltprofil, en ganska hög sötma och en distinkt men inte överdriven rökighet. Mjuk munkänsla.

[Bamberg 2018] Sampled @ Brauerei Spezial. Hazy orange, creamy lacing white head. Nose is explosion of vanilla desert banana. Amazing thick banana, vanilla, desert faint good plastic & faint complimentary mineral note, spectacular & stupidly thick.

[Bamberg 2018] Draft sample @ Brauerei Spezial. Caramel amber, massively creamy thick head. Nose is pure bacon, caramel, tea, gravy. Body is pure oil, tea, caramel, bacon oil. Taste is quite sweet with caramel, tea, huge bacon & tea oil. Amazing, super intense.

[Bamberg 2018] Draft 500 ml. @ Brauerei Spezial. Deep cooked apple red, thick head. Nose is smoked paprika, caramel, bacon, oily candy. Taste is malty caramel, smoked paprika, walnut, toffee, apple, tea, raisin,.. Intensely thick caramel oily, tea oil. Stupendously good.

[Bamberg 2018] First sampled @ Brauerei Spezial. Immediately got 500 ml. after sampling. Got 500 ml. next day & would have gotten way more if I didn’t have a lot more stops to do. Hazy golden, solid small white head. Nose is somehow sweet in a spectacular way & crisp, vanilla, straw, hay, bread, hops,… Insane combo of drinkability, crisp, clean & ultra-drinkable, vanilla, hay, toffee, wheat, biscuit, hop, bread, field, flowers, yeast, almost indescribable, god-tier level. Beyond drinkable. Good thing I didn’t manage to book a room at Spezial, I would have likely drunk myself to death on this.
