Description
Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. Please come and say hi!

440ml can. A hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of orange, pine. Taste is citrusy, resinous, piney, orange and grapefruit peel, a touch of caramel, biscuity malts, decent bitterness. Medium bodied.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Bit of a gloopy pour sits thick as a bag orange. Suds of elastic shiny swede. Nose is all yer estery stone fruit, with a huge dollop of Sabro-esque coconut and lime sorbet nonsense. Taste is super sweet and candy floss like. Trace of bitterness. Full and chewy mouthfeel with fine carbonation. More candy floss on the finish. Hard work to be honest.

440 ml can from MBC, packaged 15.02.21. Orange, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light yellow head. Aroma of oats, orange juice, passion fruit, apricot, citrus, some pine, slight dankness. Tastes quite similar, with more grapefruit, some mineralic notes. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes medium dry, medium dank, slight bitter, a bit sweet, a bit mineralic, with oats, tropical fruits, slight vanilla. Very nice. Quite light bodied as expected, but smooth to drink, with fruity, dank and oaty notes well balanced. Really enjoyable thirst-quencher. Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 15
