Description
Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. Please come and say hi!

Hazy yellow with a creamy, white head. Aroma promises grapefruit with sweet, melon-like undertones. Taste is bitter the whole way through with a faint, underlying sweetness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry, a bit chalky. Easygoing. Pleasant.

Cask at Kerrera, Guildford. Clear-opaque chestnut with a red tint. Thin foamy white head ultimately shrinks to a mm thick band. Aroma has grains and malts with a light caramel and a sour berry edge. Flavourwise itvhas chewy caramel, with woody bitterness and spur berry streak. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Good stuff.

440ml can from Middle Farm, Firle, and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky dark burgundy colour with little life. The aroma is red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sour, with a smooth, rich, juicy tart raspberry, cherry, light vanilla palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Finally a fruited sour beer that isn’t sweet!
