Many thanks for this bottle to kappldav123. Pours yellow-orange color with a thin tight head. Aroma has light spice little clove fruitiness and grain. Taste is grainy light spice and fruitiness.

33cl Bottle from Speciaalbierwinkel Bodegraven. Dark ruby-brown colour, creamy beige head. Aroma of burnt caramel, brown sugar, hint of metal, dark fruits, tiny hint of tartness, malts, cocoa. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, burnt caramel, dry, cocoa/chocolate, bitter malty finish with some yeasty notes. Dry. Medium-bodied. Nice but fairly standard Abbey Dubbel.

Bottle from the Bierkoning. Poured a hazy medium to light amber with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is zesty lemon citrus & yeast. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a dry bubbly yeast aspirin palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. A strange combination of flavours. Won’t win too many friends.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, fine malty-spicy, modest sweet, notes of some herbs. Warming, but not alcoholic. Well balanced finish. Nice!

Many thanks to Douberd for this Beer. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit großer Schaumkrone. Hohe Karbonation. Geruch malzig fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig fruchtig süß, alkoholisch wirkend.

Bottled @ DDDH, small sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, hint of pepper. Dark malty bitterness in taste, bit creamy, slight spicy hint. I have had it before and can remember the spicy bite was a bit stronger. Nice and easy drinker and lots of flavor for a 4% beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown black color with a small longlasting tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty weak hoppy aroma. Roasted malty hoppy bitter flavor. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Many many thanks to Douberd for this Beer! Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes fast schwarzes Bier mit geringer bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv röstmalzig nach Kaffe und Schokolade, würzig. Geschmack erst leicht scharf röstmalzig, dann sehr mild nach Kaffe, insgesamt richtig klasse.
