Nice round full beer. Smokey for sure, and not over bitter. How thry should be. Tivoli denver

Pour is a clear golden with a average white head. Aroma is a nice bready malt which is a bit on the sweet side. Flavor is not sweet at all but rather a bone dry biscuit malt with some herbal hop finish. Decent beer. If this was a spot on recreation of a beer made before prohibition they were really ahead of their time.

Draft at Smashburger DIA. Dark amber, small silky head, rings of lacing. Toasty malty aroma. Taste is also focused squarely on the malts, toasted, brown bread, full. Finishes with a miniscule bitter bite. Solid.

Shaker pint draft at Monte Jade restaurant in the Gaylord Hotel in Aurora, Colorado. The pour is clear golden, nice white head. The aroma is noble hops, pepper, earth. The taste is clean fresh grassy earthy malt, softly sweet, the noble hops dry out the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, soft carbonation and earth soft mineral finish. Nice Helles.

12 oz. bottle purchased in Frisco, Colorado. Pours a mostly clear light gold color with a small white head and great retention. Good lacing. Virtually no aroma. Crisp mouthfeel. Bright lager flavor with a mild hop finish. Like a German pilsner without the sharp hops bite. Medium body. Clean. Good for the style, but not my favorite style.

Advertised at GABF 2017 as a smoked beer. Very little smoke. malt flavor, medium palate. fine and perfectly drinkable for a brown ale but not much smoke, just a hint in the aftertaste.
