Bottle. Aroma sweetish, diacetyl and cooked corn. Clear colour golden. Sugary candyish taste with more of all that is in aroma. Seriously flawed beer that at least somehow remains a bit drinkable.

Bottle. Golden color with medium white head. Ugly aroma of old malt, corn, diacetyl. Sweet malty taste with corn, cooked vegetable. Bad.

Keg from the Cock Inn, Attleborogh. Golden with a big white head. Awful purty. Smells of chemicals. Not a lot of beer scents in there. Tastes of chemical, metal and grain. Thin body. No personality. I think I’d almost prefer it if it were actively awful.

Can from Best One, opposite Rochdale Train Station. Golden with a small frothy head. Strong tasting with a palatable crispness, but nothing significant in the taste department.

Pours clear golden color, topped with a medium foamy white head that soon settles down. Malty aroma, some notes of grains and a bit grassy. Sweet, a bit watery, almost no bitterness to speak of. Dry finish with a bit metallic aftertaste. Not unpleasant, just not that good.

On keg at Ton Pentre FC - Nothing like I remember from my youth when we’d head to the Midlands. Bland, boring, run-of-the-mill nitrokeg bitter. Shared some good anecdotes from years gone by with it though.

Bottle. Nose is berry , cereal, biscuit, autumn fruits. Taste is cereal, red berry, herbal hops, slight pepperiness in the lightly bitter finish. It’s a better than average supermarket beer.

@Sheffield, pre match beer , Sheffield Wednesday - Leeds United 1-2. Sparkling golden, pale ale malts, yeast, sweet, light body, lots of co2, well it’s drinkable even after the game
