Cask, Egremont Ferry, Wallasey. One of the most forgettable beers I’ve tasted in some time. Lacking in aroma, body and flavour. Nice views of the Ark Royal coming up the Mersey from here though.

Silky smooth and creamy bitter with mild floral flavour. Quite bland but easy to drink and refreshing.

I have had this beer many a time and each time I was quite upset by it. Somewhat bitter, but mostly just watery and substandard. More drinkable than some though.

Can, smooth creamy head which lasts and lasts, again thanks to the widget. clear light copper colour, ;ight barnyard aroma with some oxidised tones. strong bitterness upfront giving way to some fruity notes and traces of honey wax, light soury aftertaste. not really to complex, but quite smooth and satisfying.

(can) Clear, golden colour with a bubbling foamy white head of medium size. Dusty light-sweet and sour doughy nose with notes of metal and vegetables.. Faint bitter and sourish flavour, watery but slightly crispy mouthfeel; watery finish with flavours of cardboard and metal. Looses its rest of drinkability rapidly while getting just slightly warmer. Poor (31.X.08).

Can, small, dense, creamy head that lasts and lasts... thanks to the widget. Uniform light brown colour, mild hoppy nose, taste is completly dry and unpleasantly bitter, with caramel notes and some metalic undertones. Light bodied and easy to drink but too bland and average.

(Can 50 cl) Clear golden with a dense and creamy white head - almost nitro style. Discreet aroma of brewing cereal. Very thin with discreet notes of brewing cereal. A little flat and low on bitterness. 210908

(10/8/08) Draught at Heathrow airport in London. Clear amber color with a small white head. A rather malty aroma with some bread, light caramel, some grainy notes and a bit of hops. Sweetish flavor with some malt, bread and finishes with light hoppy bitterness and some metal. Quite light-bodied and watery. Drinkable but not good.
