Rerate during Worthington White Shield UK Online Mass Tasting. Initially fairly hoppy and bitter, followed by caramel malts. Score stands.
Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma has grassy hops and fruits. Flavour has sweet malts and fresh hops. Ends bitter dry. Ok beer.

[22/9/2008, 440ml can from Jim - cheers!] Pale gold; huge foaming white head; soft carbonation. Quite sweet, a little malt, a little sour in aftertaste. Not the worst pale lager - it’s very easy to drink, but very bland indeed. [re-rate 19/1/2013, can] Pallid gold, moderate white head, lazy fizz. Sweetcorn aroma is pretty offputting. Some light lemon and grass in the flavour, but it’s very bland. Rather sweet. Don’t understand why people choose to drink this.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Deep amber in colour with a foamy, off white head and moderate carbonation. Malty aroma, with some red fruit and dusty hops. Flavour started sweet, with caramel, orange, grassy hops and a hint of spice. There was a long, bitter finish to this very enjoyable beer. Great stuff.

Cask, 5.6% at GBBF08. Dark amber colour, OK frothy white head. Vinous flavour, dusty, malty, with some alcohol. Distinct bitterness which goes fine with the malty notes

can 44cl, bought supermarket magaluf spain 14.08.08, best bf 14.05.07 tasted 16.08.08 flavor is still smooth tasting english style bitter. some benzene to the flavor, but otherwise close to the other of its style. not much bitterness, aftertaste just a toned down version of general taste. it tastes almost entirely as the draft i tasted earlier in the week, so nice work, making a beer that can age so far beyond production without problems. tap at the red lion , rhodos. dark orange, thick smooth white head 4. aroma of some kind of spices, benzene, faint booze, ginger, nelliker. 6 flavor is ginger, sweet dry, ends ginger bitter. 5, pal 3 ov 11

Can, 4.0%. Clear golden colour. Creamy head. Low carbonation. The flavour is quite thin. Slightly rough bitterness. A bit of grain. Seems they have tried their best to make an ale taste like a lager.

draft, called just carling, british bar in mallorca, spain. i guess this is where it fits. yellow, small white head, refreshing some slight bitteness towards the end, and ends sweet and a little bitter.

draft, bar in alcudia, mallorca. the flavor was a bit disturbing, reminded me of spices most of all. also slighthly sweet. odd beer. far away from the best english macro drafts.
