CBF07 sample from tap. Pours golden clear. Lovely aroma of bitter hops. Flavour is sweet and soft malt and hops, a tart fruityness. Ends in a good soft bitter and sweet blend.

75cl bottle from Sainsburys. Bright straw in colour with a white head; very lively when first poured; rich yeasty, bready aroma, with some spiceness; slightly austere and steely in the mouth, with a rich floral bitterness developing into a spicy finish - rather like a Gewürztraminer wine. Leaves a dry, toasty feeling. Very pleasant.

Draft at Copenhagen beerfestival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is hazy pale golden. Aroma and taste are dill, licorice and wheat. Initially quite interesting with the dill flavor, but got tired of the dill pretty fast.

Bottle: Clear, reddish-amber coloured, smaller firm off-white head; caramel, nut-meg and vanilla in the nose; sweetish-bitter flavour, medium-bodied; distinctive nut-meg aromas, again, in the drier fruity finish. O.K., drinkable, no glory.........

Red amber with a disappearing white head. Toffee, apple, caramel notesin the aroma, but so clean and light that it could have been a lager beer. Sweet caramel-dominated flavour with a spicy finish and a hint of camomile. As usual with Jacobsen, it’s a boring version of a style - with an added fancy spice.
