lavor is again a nice mix of Brett and traditional Belgian flavors. Spicy cloves, herbal bitterness (not too much).

A dark honey body, almost like a light apple cider. Very voluminous head, long retention and mountainous foam on top. Good funk in aroma with classic Belgian influences including cloves, strawberry (thank you Brett!) and pineapple (?).

Bottle into Orval glass. Amber appearance with a 1 and a half finger thick, foamy head which persists. Smells citrusy, tangy, lemony, hoppy. The taste is quite bitter, some carbonation, complex with pine and citrus notes. Every bottle of this is different! Overall, a really really nice ale.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
11.2 oz. bottle, that was bottled on 20/05/2011. Pours amber-orange with an incredibly frothy, white head that dissipates very slowly. Aroma is sweet with hints of orange and something flowery (lavender??). Taste is way more bitter than I would have guessed, based on the aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Carbonation is average. Finish is dry and bitter with a bit of astringency.
I had pretty high hopes for this beer, but overall I am disappointed. Perhaps I would find a "fresher" bottle to be better. Then again, the bottle says best before 20/05/2016, which is still 2.5 years away. So I’m well within the sweet-spot age.

Bottle. Nose is floral, herbal, lemon, candy floss and belgian yeast. Taste is herbal, clove, bread, slight lemon balm a little mint with a dry hoppy finish with very slight sour tones. Mouthfeel is slick. A delicious summer beer that has something of the Saison to it.

Medium kullsyre, kort bitter litt syrlig ettersmak

Bottle at Akkurat, vintage 2002. Amber with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, some fruit, berries and some funk. The taste was on the light side with notes of funk, bread, yeast, berries and some spices. Quite low carbonation and with a dry finish. A descent one especially considering only 3,5% alcohol.

Bottle from York Beer and Wine. Bottled April 2013, so 8 months old. Beautifully aromatic, with sweet, caramelised oranges to the fore. There’s a herbal, slightly medicinal edge too. Tastes dry, initially, and has more bitterness than I expected, before an almost minty sweetness trundles along. I’m going to stick some in the cellar and see how they alter with age. That’s the plan. It may not work...

Uklar oransje farge. Lukter karamell, banan, malt og humle. Smaker sødme og bitterhet, ettersmaken er lang med bitterpreg. Liker denne godt.
