Yeast and malt aroma, some sour fruits. A specific taste of malt, sourness but dry, slightly bitter, with hint of spices.

2500!! So do we like get something? A ring? That’d be cool. Couldn’t think of a more perfect beer for 2500! Hard to describe - a funky mix of bitter, sweet, sour. Orval Vert, you will be mine very soon!!!

Maybe the oldest beer I've had, this classic was unfortunately showing slight signs of caramelization and other deterioration. Still fun and tasty, and naturally I enjoyed it. 2-5 years is still the sweet spot for Orval, though.

Vert!! The legendary monks-only Orval also served on draft at their restaurant (closed today), I found out it's also served during meals at the guesthouse. Lucky me. It's great, much the same but noticably lighter. Nice body, resonant flavor. 👍🏿
