Draft @ Beer Temple. Murky yellow color. White head. Aroma’s: herbal hops, retronasal it’s hops, juicy, herbal. Flavor is a bit juicy, soft, light malty. Light bodied. Not much going on in the finish, but still a good burp. Not at its peak anymore, but still enjoyable.

Morebeer (Peter van den Arend and co) collaborating with Stone (Berlin) for a dry-hopped Dunkelweizen, curious about this, from tap at Craft & Draft. Very thick and creamy, dense, inches thick head, cloudy deep chestnut-caramel brown colour with ochre-ish hue. Aroma of ripe banana, ripe peach, soggy brown bread, cake dough, cloves, white pepper, brown sugar, curry ketchup, grape juice, orange, green gooseberry. Fruity, estery onset, lots of the expected ripe banana ester of course, hints of ripe juicy pear, plum and a sourish grapey note as well, the latter accentuated by the wheat; medium carbo, soft and fluffy mouthfeel. Bready and caramelly malt middle with soapy ’wheatiness’, citrusy touch in the end from the hops, bit spicy, some phenols too, dryish and earthy, softly bitterish. The dry-hopping effect goes a bit lost in the esters and phenols here, making the end result not all that different from a traditional Bavarian Dunkelweizen, but by itself an enjoyable dark wheat beer - though I expected more from a collab of these two parties.
