Bottle from trade with jbrus. It poured a clear, golden body with an off-white head. Fruity, sour nose with some pale malt, and a good hoppyness. Hoppy, resiny and bitter, flavor with malt to give it balance. Medium body. Bitter finish, quite resiny. The beer starts off a bit boring, but the hoppyness makes it something interesting. It actually surprised me with it’s bitterness. (080509)

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a decent white head. Slightly sourish nose with a nice blend of malt and fruit, but not convincing at all. Sourish, lemony and malty flavor with some nice bitterness, especially in the finish. Some lemon as well in the finish. Medium body. A decent beer, but the sourness made me wonder if it’s infected. Draught Good yellowish, very fine head, leaving some lace over fully hazy amber-straw beer. And now for Amarillo jumping out of the glass, with a background of slight malt sweet, and dry hop bales finish. Very good nose. Soft citrussy hops in the taste, with lemonpeel, grapefruit and many yeasty esters. Thick, yeasty-creamy MF, medium bodied. Sample maybe too shaken (newly opened keg). Good, very aromatic beer, but ending a bit thin in the palate.

Tap @ brewery. Cloudy brown color with a reddish glow, thick creamy off-white head, beautiful lacing. Aroma of hop, bit grassy, fruit like orange, slight spicy. Tastes a bit the same, almost like a hoppy belgian triple with the spicyness and orange. Not your average double IPA, but with a belgian twist.
