Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Nice gin barrel influence with chocolate, lots of wood, juniper, roast, soft vanilla, some coffee, more gin. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full and pretty velvety. Love the gin barrel influence, very tasty.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is strong caramel fudge with toffee, oak, brandy, dried fruits, some bourbon, chocolate, raisins, blueberry cake, dark malt, soft roast. Flavour is sweet with a moderate bitterness and some alcohol. Body is medium to full. Sweet but pretty complex. Starts out with huge caramel fudge but then the brandy takes over.

From tap at Café De Hazeburg, Ermelo. Aroma is banana, yeast, wheaty malt, notes of orange, touch of bubblegum. Sweetish flavour and light bitter. Body is medium. Pleasant, good to drink a 'new' Weizenbock from De Molen no less in this era of NEIPA/pastry uniformity.

Bottle. Black with nice creamy chocolate head. Peat smoke, chocolate, sweet brandy, vanilla, coffee, toffee, quite earthy, roasted nuts. Solid sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied. Still very peatyz but a bit less than the base beer, and barrel works well. Good stuff! Best beer from De Molen I've had in years.

If it ain't Dutch. Keg. Near opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth palate, airy, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy but rich tasting dark malts. Soft but rich coffee, mellow choc.A light touch of coconut. Comes together very well indeed

Small white head over darker golden, lightly veiled beer. Other grains & citrussy hops, even exotic fruit, pineapple, and rosewater. Sweet, rosewater, very sweet pineapple (with its acidity gone). Again C-hops. Quite slick, even almost sticky despite good carbonation. Medium bodied. Too sweet, too easy. We doubted if the 'purée' got fermented and probably was added later. Txs to Stef!
