Lightly hazy blonde with a thick white small bubbled head. Floaties noticed. Light bananas and cloves in aroma, with notes of lemons. Fresh wheat with the bananas coming out nicely, but rather thin bodied compared to German Hefeweizens. Still, a nice summer beer.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty flavour with tonguetickling carbonation. Sweet hayish aftertaste. A bit caramel in flavour too.

Version for Swedish market (class I). Yellow, not much head. Sweetish, grassy hops in the nose. Suprisingly medium-bodied. Sweet malty, hops come in the finish. Decent low alcohol pilsener.

Yay! I finally retrieved the ratings I lost when I dropped my handheld... by getting another handheld. Draft, at "il Patio" restaurant, St. Petersburg, Russia; notes from 6/9/04. An everyday weiss, but a nice break from all the Russian pale lagers. Thin head with no lacing, paler than the standard body, but with a decent wheat haze. Taste is okay, some lemon and banana notes. I also get a bit of a rubbery taste, though. Hate to say this, but perhaps it would have been better served cold?

(Bottle 50 cl) Nice yellowish golden beer without much head. Lots of sweet malt in a fine balance with some discreet hops. Not excactly thrilling but rather pleasant though. 150505

Laut Dose "die Spitzensorte der Brauerei Zipf". Dem stimme ich nicht zu, schlecht ist es aber nicht. Insgesamt ist dieses Bier ziemlich mild. Dezente herbe und ein säuerlicher Abgang runden dieses Bier ab. Trinkbar ja - den Märzen dieser Firma trinke ich jedoch um einiges lieber! Test vom 5.4.2005, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 7,8,6,5,6,7

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Zipfer Original". Quite classical golden lager with a pretty high hoppiness. Not much fuss about this one. 140701
