Description

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark gold with a foamy white head. Nice tripel, kandi, floral, spice aromas. Med. body; foamy carbonation. Finish is bitter, spicey, fruity - finishing dry and decently bitter. Good Belgian.

Bottle at Maxs. Chestnut amber-brown color. Nice and creamy, thick head. Doughy sweet brown malt aroma. Very yeasty, thick and smooth. Great mouthfeel, very pleasant to drink. Reminiscent of a good English Nut Brown, but Belgified. Great.

On tap at Zythos Beer Festival 6th March 2010 Pours hazy light gold with a white head. There is a big lemon thrust to this that eventually softens and then I get some soft summer fruits, backed up by a pushy sweetness, refreshing and pleasant beer. A6 A3 F7 P3 Ov13 3.2

Very good, dense, fine, bit fluffy head, yellowish, over clear golden beer; lacerings. White candi sugar, greenery, greenmalt, very young-smelling. Sweeter than expected, despite a dry finish. Faintly peppery-spicy, sweetness more background; malty sweetness or strangly - fresh sugarcane. Visually quite carbonated, but I would have expected some more attenuation. On the good side, dangerously drinkable. Might be better with some more ripening, sample seems very young.

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty and sweet, slightly bready malty aroma with notes of oranges and a blossom-like flowery touch with spicy spots. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate to soft carbonation. Solid malty, subtle fruity and spicy yeasty taste with shy notes of woody hops; sweet-bitter, malt-accented and spicy finish with hints of alcohol. 30.XI.09

Bottled (BB 12/2009). Hazy orange color, small steady creamy head. Watermelon, lemon soap in the nose. Fruity, a bit woody-grassy hoppying. Semi-foamy mouthfeel. Some alcohol. Simple Belgian ale. Amber ale in RB .. not...
