Description

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins, caramel, dark bread, red berries and a hint of liquorice. Malty, fruity, slightly toasted taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, raisins, wort, hints of chocolate and a spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with well balanced sweetness. Complex and quite nice.

A hazed blonde ale with a thick collapsing lacing white head. A smooth creamy honey aroma, with light orange peels, chalky points, very Belgian. In mouth, a smooth sweet candy sugar, with light acidic points, Belgian hops, quite nice and smooth, with somewhat harsh finish. 6.49$ 12 on from Gillies, Rockville, MD on Sept 20 2010, BB 12/10.

Draft at Jacs. Creamy, thick, unfiltered golden yellow. Big foamy white head, lots of lace. Creamy and light, quite drinkable. Sort of like a good yeasty Wit with a quality hop addition. Soapy, dry and bitter. Somewhat Saisonish as well. Hoppy, crisp and refreshing. Thick cream soda like yeast notes with orange peel and grass tones. Nice.
