Bottle at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is metallic, malt, roast, wood, bourbon, bread/malt, sweet, raisins, dark ripe fruit, pear. Taste is the same, sweet, fruit, pear but in a festini like pear not natural, malt, roast, vanilla, bourbon, wood, bitter, liquorice and roasted bitterness in aftertaste. This beer goes almost everywhere in flavour. nice one.

Clear gold blond beer, big - no, huge! - creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of coriander, a bit soapy, green banana, grains, wheat, a bit of a sourish impression. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: ripe banana, coriander, gentle bitterness, very yeasty, more ripe banana. Aftertaste: bitter, grassy, a little metallic, a bit sourish, herbal, coriander, a little oxidized, a bit malty.

Backlog September 2011. Deep golden boy with high carbonation under a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma feels sweet with pale malt, spices and alcohol. Taste is sweet malt, white sugar, hint of citric fruit, spices and some alcohol. Not much bitterness. Medium body and same aftertaste. Not particular interesting.

@Alkeveld. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Light sweet, some caramel, some irony notes, herbal bitterness. Not very well balanced.

Bottle from a gift via Beers@Moviefun, thanks uncle Koen & aunt Tamara! Hazy black, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of liquorice, tobacco, raisin, prune, fondant, peated whisky, black olive. Taste has sweet raisin, prune & pear in a malt body of dark fudge & dark chocolate; surrounded by salty liquorice, some umami olive and tobacco. Herbal hoppy finish offering more salty liquorice, tobacco and warming peated whisky-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Balanced brew for a 'peated BA', could have been more Stout-pronounced in the aroma perhaps, but all in all surprising coming from such a 'local' brewery!
