This brew is a slightly hazy copper-orange color with a medium thin bone white head that dissipates steadily to a wispy film. Short stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruit, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of funky brett, citrus, wheat and doughy malt. The finish is funky with a yeast and fruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Poured from a 750 ml, 2013 vintage bottle. Aroma is a bit dulled with some honey and caramel notes. Some moderate cucumber with light citrus notes. Hints of stone fruit and cherry pie. Some light grassy and herbal phenolic notes. Look out, this one is a gusher! Pours a hazy, copper-orange with a large, moderately thick, white head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is very sweet with lots of honey and caramel. Some light citrus notes and acidity with medium light cucumber notes. Medium low bitterness. Some cherry pie and stone fruit notes as well as light herbal phenolics. Lingering honey sweetness with hints of lemon and cucumber. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, this is not a good beer. It has a very sweet character to it and some honey notes. it may have been refreshing and crisp when fresh, but I sat on this for way too long and its not good now.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle; I believe vintage 2013. Aroma is very Brett forward with lots of pineapple, cherry pie and other tropical fruit notes. Medium light phenolic notes, slightly grassy with some lemongrass and pepper. Light white wine notes with some green grape and faint oak. Light grain notes. Oh shit, this beer is a major gusher!!! Pours a hazy, golden orange with a large, thin, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some light grain notes and hints of honey. Moderate white wine notes with some green grape, tropical fruit and faint oak. Moderately strong Brett characteristics with pineapple, cherry pie, light grassy phenolics and hints of pepper. Faint cacao notes, but I can’t really identify the pumpkin or candied endive. Medium light bitterness and light alcohol heat. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty good beer despite being a gusher. I also think it helps that that cacao is light and the endive and pumpkin are unidentifiable. The abv is pretty well hidden too with just a bit of it in the finish.

Poured from a 2013 vintage 750 ml bottle. Aroma is malty with some toasted bread, caramel and toffee. A light nuttiness as well. Some moderate fruit notes with raisin, prune, cherry and berry. Light spciy phenolic notes with some coriander and pepper. Pours a fairly dark brown with a medium large, moderately thick, dark tan head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and somewhat sharp with some light sweetness. Some caramel, toasted bread, toffee and nut notes from the malt with toasted bread leading the way. Moderately strong fruit notes with lots of raisin, prune, cherry and berry notes. Some medium light mustard seed notes with some light coriander and pepper. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer. The malt and fruit don’t really clash, but the acidity is too sharp. The mustard seed is odd as well. Fruit notes are a bit too strong.

375ml bottle. Pours a cloudy gold-orange with a large, frothy, mostly lasting, white head that laces nicely. Sweet, spicy, fruity aroma of orange, lemon, coriander, pepper, floral, Belgian yeast and grainy malt. Sweet, spicy, fruity flavour of grainy malt, bread, orange, lemon, tangerine, floral, herbal, pepper, coriander and Belgian yeast with a slightly tart, dry, bitter grass finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Well balanced, not bad.

Sample at NC Rare Beer Festival in Durham. Clear golden color, white head. Aroma of lightly spiced straw. Taste is light roast, I expected more.

Bottleshare: pours murky brown with a white head. Aroma is mostly roasty bit with hints of sour funk. Super sour in the taste... way more than the aroma would let you suppose. Darkness not present. Only in small notes. Cool.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle from 2013 I think. Aroma is acidic with lots of berry, cherry, raisin and cassis notes. Some caramel, toasted bread, toffee and moderate nuttiness. The almond notes are interesting and work decently well with the fruity notes. Pours a dark. murky, brown with some auburn hues and a thin, small, faint tan head that recedes immediately to the edges where a small amount lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and somewhat sharp with some caramel, toffee and lots of nut notes. Only some light sweetness. Fairly fruity with raisin, berry, cherry and fig. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but the lack of carbonation really hurts the beer. The toasted almonds are nice and work well with the fruit and acidity, but the acidity si a bit sharp for the beer. A bit better as it warms.
