The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is lightly funky with the pale malts and hints of flowers and fruits. Taste is very mellow. Not really dry or sweet. Pretty good and this was a pretty old bottle.

Bottle from Milk and Hops, Chelsea. The name kinds says it all doesn't it? Brilliant name, description, and even the pairing suggestion. Love it all. Pours exactly as turbid as you'd expect, though with a bit of a darker orange than most in the "style" tend to be. Frothy beige head. Bright hoppy aroma of juicy, tropical fruit. Tastes of delicious unfiltered hype and some fruity hops too. Low bitterness level. Citrus zest, some light pine, and bit of that suspended wheat / oat thing in there as well. Not quite as juicy fruit as some of the beer to which this beautiful homage is paying tribute, but fun none-the-less. Put this in a can with a "drink in the first two hours of canning or else" note on it, and the aforementioned fanboys would be lining up for sure. Really fun beer.

375 ml bottle. Pours a very dark red/brown with light head of big bubbles. Aromas of green blackberries, vinous wood, and balsamic vinegar. Initial flavors of meaty balsamic vinegar and unripened grapes yield to metallic dark fruit, olives, and meaty roasted malts. Unique and interesting. A complex sour.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours reddish brown with a fine foamy head. Very tart, with some berries, acetic burn, leather, vinegar. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with bracing acetic bite, and more tangy, aged berries. Not bad overall, though a bit sturdy.

Bottle from Whole Foods-Chelsea. Hazy golden pour with a thick, foamy froth of white head. Light aroma, grassy and grainy, hay and yeast, bit of tropical fruit. Mild flavor, as well, similar component-wise. It's an alright beer, but all the components just feel muted and a little thin.
