Tap @ Trinity. Deep brown (not black) appearance with a light brown head. Roasty malty, chocolate, coffee aroma. Flavor was very smooth, dark roasty malty with notes of espresso and chocolate. I really didn’t get the wood. Tasty beer.

RBESG August 2011, grand tasting. Chestnut with a small off-white head. Aroma of acetone, funk, dark sugar and vinegar. Very acidic vinegar-dominated flavour with a touch of pineapple.

Bottle courtesy of beerandblues2, thank you sir! Deep dark hazy pink color, large pink head with good retention. Aroma of pink champagne and flowers. Taste is oily rose petals and heavy perfume. The booze kicks in five minutes after you drink it, so sit close to the floor.

Bottle #38 shared by Paul at tasting at my house. Pours cloudy gold with off white head. Nose/taste of spicy breads, yeast, mint leaves, menthol, lemongrass and herbs. Medium body.

Dean Swift - RBESG Tasting. Clear deep amber beer. Small bubbly head. Light dry palate. Vinegary sour fruit, worcester sauce. A bit too much with acidic lemon for me. Dry finish.

Bottle courtesy of beerandblues2, thank youn sir! Hazy brown color, small tan head. Aroma of sour cherries, wood, vanilla. Taste is very tart fruit, cherry, grapefruit, raisins. Very nice.

Bottle 750ml. @ RBESG 11 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift, 10 Gainsford Street, London, England SE1 2NE.[ Trade by Doodler ]. Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, berry sour, vinegar, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, vinegar, berry sour. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110807]

Tap @ Trinity. Completely cloudy, yellow appearance with a white head. Light brett, mild spice, citrus fruity, yeasty, mild barnyard aroma. Slightly tart, citrus fruity, belgian yeasty, slightly spicy, barnyard, lightly tangy flavor. Although theres a citrus character, I’m not really getting kiwi. Tasty beer but nothing super special.

Tap @ Trinity. Fairly hazy yellow appearance with a creamy, pearl white head. Floral, grassy, citrusy, juniper, yeasty, fairly spicy aroma. Spicy chai, cinnamon, yeasty, sweet spicy, floral flavor. Very cool, spicy, sweet, yeasty flavor. Very awesome beer! Not sure if they changed the recipe since the previous reviews but this is full of flavor and I’m not sure I agree with the California Common classification.

Tap @ Trinity. Cloudy reddish brown appearance with a brown colored head. Chocolate, caramel, candy sugar, floral hoppy, a touch spicy, belgian yeasty nose. Toasty caramel malty, biscuit, bready, a touch roasty, a bit spicy, belgian flavor. Some dark fruity elements as well. One of my lesser favorite offerings by these guys.
