Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

Yep, this is your typical over the top IPA but with tdouble the hops and so I guess its on style. Had this on tap at the bocktown in monaca. Thicker aroma of hops, like the acceptable and attractive BO of your favorite mate. Big strong initial flovor onslaught of chewing on grapefruit rinds that have yet to get ripe. On nasty style. Difficult for a lager lover. Big rude strong and again terribly on style. Wew, my taste buds have been ruined for a day. Cannot handle the long bitter over the top hops finish. Yewwww.

Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a dark golden color with a small white head that left great lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with faint golden fruits and table sugar. The flavor was tangy and sweet golden fruits, table sugar and had a faint nutty undertone. The finish was long and tangy with lingering sugar. Moderately full bodied. Overall it reminds me more of a maibock than anything else. Solid.
