On tap at Rackhouse. Listed at 4.5% ABV. Seems quite a bit different than the regular sour wit. Pours with a hazed yellow body with a small white head. Super strong spicy oak aromas with notes of chardonnay and fruit. Mostly oak in the aroma. Flavors are extremely tannin forward, tannic, fruity, estery, spicy. Lightly lactic. Mild funk. Lively bubbles, dry and tannic. This beer is all about the wood.

A tulip from tap at Falling Rock. Pours with a hazed golden yellow body with a minimal white head that fades. Aromas are lightly spicy and floral with a bit of fruit esters. Some good lactic sourness and citrus notes. Flavors are sour, tart, floral, lightly grainy and what seems to be a slight tannic note. Some citrus as well. Moderate carbonation with a somewhat thin body.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer witht a rim of off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, malt, yeast, and brettanomyces, leading to a dry, yeasty, and brett’y finish.

Tap @ Rackhouse. Deep red brown appearance with a small, tan head. Very sweet malty, caramel, brown sugar, light toffee nose. Fairly thick, syrupy, dark candy sugar, thick caramel, toasty malty flavor. A little but of bitterness on the finish but overall just too sweet for my taste.

Nitro at the brewery - turbid dark brown - cola-like head - lovely nose of dry cocoa, licorice, figs, dates - quite a sweet lactose flavor up front, but a moderate mix of charred malt, roast and black malt bitterness balances things out - quite a bit of chocolate - medium sweet chocolate finish - good, but not as complex as the aroma suggests.
