330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Spicy pumpkin aroma with a cola touch, notes of ginger and cinnamon, a touch of nutmeg. Taste is slightly sweet, notes of cola and pumpkin, a touch of chocolate, mild spiciness with hints of ginger, cinnamon, a touch of nutmeg, minimally dry hints of juniper as counterbalance; super soft, minimally sticky palate. Very well balanced, harmonious, in no way overspiced. Very good.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, deep amber colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing off-white head. Piney, slightly resinous and citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of orange and mandarine, a touch of passion fruit, pine, spruce. Taste is piney hoppy, mild bitterness, some citrus and tropical fruit, hints of orange, passion fruit, a resinous touch, minimally sweet caramel malty basis; cumulating bitterness in the minimally chalky and mineral, piney finish, super soft palate. An Amber Ale of distinguished quality.

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Minimally smoky, roasty dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, a bready touch. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly bready, minimally smoky, hints of dark chocolate, bone-dry hoppy overtones.

33cl bottle. Pours almost clear dark amber colour with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of intense bitter hops, spruce, red malt. Taste of intense bitter hops, spruce, citrus, nuts, red malt, good stuff!

33cl bottle. Pours very dark brown colour with a small tan head. Aroma of spices, cinnamon, pumpkin and red malt. Taste of red malt, red riped fruits, cinnamon, pumpkin, interesting stuff!

33cl bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark orange golden colour with a mid-sized to small most good lasting beige head. Aroma of tart fruits, brett, herbs and red malt. Taste of mild tart fruits, caramel, vanilla, red malt, brett, interesting stuff!

Aroma of bourbon an wooden tannines, it is very dry, no carbonation. Aroma promises something interesting but unfortunatelyin the taste is just bourbon, extreme tannins and that’s all. Extreme and vulgar bitternes from tannins and alcohol. I was aware of mixed reviews of this beer. I was at least expecting that the effect of a barrel aging will be more complex and interesting. Unfortunately there is nothing to counter bourbon notes and extreme wood. This beer has only one dimension, which was already better exploit by some other beers. There is no trace of any notes of stouts or dark malts. The low-quality bitternes (probably from wood and badly hidden alcohol) make this beer very hard to drink. Unfortunately a big dissapoitment.

In the aroma from bottle dominating are dark malts, after pouring into the glass pretty beige top is appearing, some aromas of grassy/herbal/flowery notes from Polish hops (in a way comparable but more weak to Kormoran’s PLON so I’m guessing its from Sybilla hops). There is a hint of peated malt which was added among others. Very interesting taste with sunflower classic for Black IPA, some dark malts and melanoidines and grassy/flowery hops. It is a very interesting beer, adding peated malt was another interesting idea. There are however few arguments why its not perfect: as for new combinations it was a very interesting idea to make a Polish Black IPA and even add peated malt but dark malts are totally dominating over hops (less in taste but definietely in the aroma) and peated hints are very delicate (almost undetectable). If one would rate it as a new, interesting style - Silesian Black Ale than it fulfills its purpose, but if it was supposed to be Polish Black "IPA", dark malts are definietelly overpowering which is not something good for this style. More like a Polish Stout thant BIPA or CDA. There are non-black IPAs with these hops who are definietely underlying the hoppy character. Add more hops and more peated malt, then t would be great. For now just interesting.
