Tap at RateBeer Best 2016. It pours black with a bubbly, light tan head. The aroma is smoky with some peat and tobacco. The flavor is also full of peat smoke, juicy tobacco, campfire smoke and light tartness. Roast near the finish. Barrel notes are covered by the peat smoke. Fully bodied and rich for the ABV. I usually don’t like peat smoked beers (not sure if this is, but it tastes like it) but this one is pretty rad. Well done.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Pine and light brett aroma with barrel notes. Pine and light grapefruit flavor with light whiskey notes and light brett. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and grapefruit linger with some brett and barrel. A bit muddled.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Nice smoke aroma with light chocolate and light bourbon. Smokey flavor with light chocolate and light bourbon. Medium bodied. Smoke and light spice lingers with malt and light bourbon.

Keg at PiwPaw, Warsaw. Black, small beige head. Bready nose with milk chocolate and caramel. Sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Butterscotch, milk and toffee, notes of of coffee and herbal spices. Milky, creamy finish.

Keg at PiwPaw, Warsaw. Cloudy dark mahogany colour, small head. Aroma of nutmeg with a twist of lemon. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel, some lemony tartness. Nutmeg, lemon and caramel dominates. Fairly low bitterness.

Keg at Jabeerwocky, Warsaw. Dark brown, small head. Heated aroma with pears, coconut and vanilla. Mid sweet with medium Peaty whisky, tobacco, licorice and earth. Mildly warming finish.

Keg at Hoppiness, Warsaw. Almost clear copper/amber, small head. Aroma of pineapple with notes of nail polish. Mid dry with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and somewhat caramelly. Grainy with some citrus and pineapple. White pepper and resin dominate the finish.

Tap sample at 2015 RateBeer Best festival (at least I think so. Wędzony means smoked, and it was on as BA Baltic Smoked Porter). Pours cloudy black, small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is quite smoky, chocolate and ashtray notes, anise, bourbon, roasted malts, peat. Flavor is light plus bitter, medium sweet. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Tasty.
