Bottle: Poured a dark amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and earthy hops is quite dominant. Taste is also dominated by loads of caramel malt with maybe a tad too much sugar and some notes citrus and resin hops that are quite powerful. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though I think I actually prefer the regular Tom over this one.

Bottle at Chriso tasting (thanks Chris) 18/11/12. Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white head which retains well. Nose is pine, hops, citrus tones, a little peppery. Taste comprises pine, hops, light lemon notes, touch of spice. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a light bitter finish.

Aroma: Very hoppy; citrus, grapefruit, lemon and herbal notes. Appearance: Gold with copper glimmers, large creamy and long lasting head; sticking and leaving a very nice lacing . Taste: Attack is all citrus with strong grapefruit notes. Cascade is dominant. Love this hop. That beer is smooth, round, and doesn’t hit the tongue. Grapefruit flavors are dominant but combined with fresh herbal and hay accents. Bitter and smooth at the same time this is more like an American pale ale to me. And a good one!
