33cl bottle @ One pint pub. Vintage 2016. Backlog. Pours deep golden color with a thin white head. Malty, rye boozy nose, some berries. Flavor has malts, booze, plums, dates. Quite sweet. Burning finish. Heavy.

Pour is a dark clear amber with some red highlights and a large tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel with some brown sugar. Flavor is a little better than the aroma let on. Some nice dark bread with some dark fig marmalade. Finishes dry and bready. This was decent. This was supposed to be an old world recipe but I thought this was a pretty dead on Americanized marzen style.

0,1l from tap at Craft Beer Fest Haslach/Mühl. Orange cloudy colour, small white head. Smells earthy, grassy, spices, ripe fruits, light caramel. Decent smell, doesn't smell totally fresh. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes earthy, spices, ripe fruits, peach, hints of caramel, peppery. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of peach, spices and caramelly notes. Decent, bit on the sweet side, not really an Ipa. 6, 4, 6, 3, 12

0,1l from bottle at Craft Beer Fest Haslach/Mühl. As "Jack Ripperl Jackies Pale Ale. Yellow almost clear shiny colours, small white head. Smells flowery, earthy, spices, bit soapy, peppery. Nice smell. Medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes flowery, caramel, honey, earthy, light spices, bit nutty. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of honey, earthy and spicy notes. Decent one, not very apa like, bit on the sweet side. 7, 4, 7, 3, 13
