12 oz bottle. Aroma is very fruity--pineapple especially. Hazy gold color, little head, moderate lacing. Taste is almost as fruity as the aroma--pineapple, lemon, wheaty taste. Medium-bodied. Pretty decent wheat beer.

Bottle. A reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Smells like a mixed berry spritzer, tastes similar. A little malty before the artificial fruit flavoring takes over. Lame.

bottle - Pours amber with a small head. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet caramel malt. Hops is barely detectable. It’s light bodied, clean, and utterly ordinary. edit: d’oh, that was rating #1900. If I’d noticed beforehand I’d have entered a better brew for it.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of soy sauce, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt, roasted malt, soy sauce, and alcohol, as well as medium notes of wood, leading to a dry roasted and woody finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

pitch dark, small brown head. aroma is dusty, licorice, dark chocolate. dry flavor is dark chocolate, licorice, dry. sweet. brown sugar. 2009[7,3,7,4,15] pitch dark, smooth brown head, nice full dark malty aroma, sweet licorice, mild hops. not that bitter, but very tasty. flavor is roasted malts, salty licorice, palate is soft, velvety, flavor is more sweet and caramelly than bitter and hoppy, however, towards the end it goes quite malty bitter.2013[7,4,7,4,16}

12 fl oz bottle. Pours black with a small chocolate brown head. Aroma is dry roasted dark malty with a light chocolate malty note. Mild sweetness, caramelish and roasted dark malty flavoured. Smooth roasted flavoured into the far finish. Mild acidic and light chalky note.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Skyview. Pours black and opaque with a light brown head. Salty aroma of hard roasted malts. Solid body, burned dark malts, some vanilla also. Strange salinity. Hard roasted malty bitterness in the finish with some dried fruits. 130909

Bottle: Poured a clean golden color ale with a large bubbly white head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of honey and light wheat malt is mostly bland. Taste is dominated by light sweet honey malt with not much wheat being noticeable. Body is kind of light with good carbonation. Very bland and ordinary and almost taste like a macro.

12oz gift bottle from CaptainCougar. Thanks Tom! Opened August of 09, Not sure what year it was bottled. Opens with a minimal hiss. Pitch black with a rusty orange head that rises up and then fades back down after a minute. Thick and oily mouthfeel, with some bitterness in the aftertaste. Chocolate syrup, bitter cocoa, and a slight warming all come together. The carbonation is rather light with the aging, but the smoothness is quite worth it. An excellent beer, the best Leinenkugel beer I can imagine existing.

12 ounce bottle from Farm Fresh in Virginia Beach, VA. Can’t remember which location. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is nutty with grainy malts. Taste is sweet, grainy malts with some caramel and nutty notes and a metallic finish. Thin-medium bodied.
