Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

This is not an impressive brewery. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a straw yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is light and has sour malt and a hint of spice. The flavor is sour, mild hop and malt and fairly sweet on the finish. Overall a fairly blah lager.

I am not a huge fan of this brewer. This was my first try of this particular brew and I doubt that I will try it again.+++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a medium tan head. There was a strong sour malt aroma. The flavor was light sour malt. It was drier than it smelled. It generally tasted like a typical macro with just a slightly stronger malt body. Disappointing.

Clear amber body, persistent pillowy light cream head. Earthy, biscuity, toasted grain aroma. The body is watered-down but maintains traditional Oktoberfest flavors of grain, biscuit, toast, and a touch of caramel. No off-flavors. Light bitterness. The thin body keeps this from being offensive as many beers of this style border on.

Draft. A good try at a Wisconsin Okto that is hamstring by megabrew constraints. Decently golden brown color and foamy head. A nice amber malt character, but nothing that says it’s anything but a lager with a few darker grains thrown in. No real faults as a beer, but Oktos are too easy a style to go bland in.

(bottle- Indiana brewers fest) red copper beer. Cardboard aroma and unpleasant oxidized taste. Mediocre at best.

This one at least sounded appetizing. Unfortunately the beer within did not measure up. +++Sampled from a 12 oz bottle the beer poured a thin black color with a small tan head. There was a sour skunky scent and an odor reminiscent of rotting vegetables. The flavor was dry malt, mild hops and a slightly skunky aftertaste. Pretty blah but barely drinkable.

This is sweet almost wine cooler sweet. I am surpirsed it is a beer. It is a lot more juice sweet than any lambic or fruit beer i have ever tried before. Its good for desert i guess and for your none beer drinking friends. I wont be buying it again however.

Interesting aroma of honey, lemon, minty wheat, grassy hops and sweet malt - all that yet still a very mild aroma. Roundly sweet palate but disappears in the middle leading to a near unbalanced hoppy finish. Bright gold, no head.

I have been aware of this brewery since I was a child due to some of their paraphernalia in my father’s bar. This was the first chance that I had to actually try the beer - so I had been curious for quite some time. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle the beer poured a nice red-amber color with a small tan head. The aroma while faint was pleasantly malty. The flavor was crisp and light with definite malty undertones. There was a bit of an off sour tang on the aftertaste. It was a little yeasty and bready. Not bad really. A decent quaffable red.

Clear light yellow with a foamy white head. slightly grassy and lemony smell. light malts but almost no hops, with the honey coming out in aftertaste. light to medium. OK considering its a miller.
