33 cl bottle @ home. Very dark brown, almost opaque. Big beige head, slowly receding. Aroma’s of roasted malts, sweet, (milk-)chocolate/cocoa. Flavor balances nicely between the malty sweetness and the roast. Velvetty mouthfeel. Firnishes with more roast and then rather bitter. Well made.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. The brewer labeled it as a dubbel, but as it’s a rye beer I’ve added it as a specialty grain. Dark brown colour, dense off white head. Aroma is sour, berries, dry, dusty, chocolate malts. Flavour is sour as well, fruity, some chocolate, sour dusty finish. This must be infected, so it’s up for re-rate.
