At Foodbart, Deinze. Cheers, Eduard & Maarten! As 'Witte Piet', simply. Hazy golden, thin, off-white head. Aroma of soap, biscuit, coriander, vague iron, wheat, clove, grass. Taste has sweetish apple, sourish wheat and soap, some spices. Grassy hoppy finish, wheaty, spicy. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Okay Witbier.

Golden colour, white foam. Nose of citrus, sweet malts, a bit bready, typical Canarus yeast profile. Easy drinkable. Well balanced. Good!

15/IV/21 - 33cl bottle form Geers (Oostakker), shared @ my parents’ place, BB: IX/22, lot A (2021-286)

Clear blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass, falls down quickly. Aroma: malty up front, grains, hay, bit sourish impression, lemony, some infected notes, bit dirty and chemical. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, lots of yeast, some banana and banana peel, medicinal, malty, bit of a chemical bitterness. Aftertaste: bitter, bit dirty, slightly infected, rather unpleasant, plastic touch, weird.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a murky amber/orange colour with a large throthy off-white head with lots of sediment in the glass from the hopcone in the bottle. Aromas of both citrus and stoney fruits and some floral notes. Taste has notes of tangerine, peach, apricot, a tiny hint of sugar, citrus pith and a nice grassy hoppy bitterness on the finish. Very nicely balanced. Medium body, average carbonation and a tangy mouthfeel. The hopcone in the bottle seems to work nicely. Very good.
