Bottled. Ruby colour. Roasty, fruity and orangey. Dry up front -sweeter finish. Fresh and intensely malty with notes of red currant and grassy hops. Very good!

Bottled. Clear deep golden. Estery banana aroma. Sweet and fruity. Near full bodied with pleasant deep malt character, yet with clean mouthfeel. Lightly salty finish with a lot of artificial banana.

Cloudy orange color, medium white head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty, some orange. Spicy (some nutmeg and coriander) and yeasty taste, bit fruity of orange. Quite heavy on the stomach because of all the yeast.

A red-brown beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted bread, caramel, prunes, and hints of sourness. The flavor is very sweet malty with alcohol notes combined with roasted bread and prunes. A nice beer.

The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and corriander - typical for a triple. The color is yellow and it has a fine off-white head. The flavor is sweet malty - too sweet for me - with notes of yeast and corriander. Not a good flavor on my tastebuds.

(Brewed at the Proef on a recipe and on behalf of the microbrewery St. Canarus at Gottem) Slim white head, dissipating on golden beer, clear. Sweetish nose, candi sugar (none used says the label?); faint spices and citrus. Spicey-bitter taste, lots of sweeter malt underneath. (Bitter) almonds-frangipane flavours, bit of aniseed. Medium-bodied, quite dry but not excessively so. Long bitterish- almondy aftertaste. Quite balanced indeed, if it weren't for the over-almondy aromas. Somehow, I think I would prefer this out of the microbrewery itself. Alas, they can't cope with demand.

Dark brown with slight haze (cold -?); dark crème head, slowly disappearing. Chocolate malt, roasted and herbal, and also very lightly lactic nose, like yoghurt. Taste: OHOH - what is this? Is this Rochefort 7, maybe? Pear drops, roasted malts and sweet malts, vinous and 'speculoos', all is there. Very well bodied without being really heavy. Slight oily mouthfeel. Some alchohol, hidden. Listen. If I were to say this ain't good, then I'd be the King of Hypocrites. I love Rochefort; don't we all? But, OTOH, it is a bit copycat, even when in the sweet direction...
