Bottled. Hazy orangeish amber colour with mediumsized slightly off-white head, leaves lace. Aroma is some herbs, grass, vegetables and mild notes of some hay and yeast. Flavour is mild spices, fruits and bigtimes hayish/grassy. Some notes of alcohol also lurking in the background.

Hazy orange color, big off-white head, some lace. Cardboardish hayish aroma, a bit papery. Crisp, grassy hoppy, fruity bitter. Very balanced, good malt profile. Long bitter, a bit alcoholic aftertaste. Very nice - my bottle was not acidic at all.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with a spicy yeast. Taste is comprised of a spicy yeast with maybe some pepper and light coriander as well as a nice malt backbone and a slightly dry hoppy finish. Body is quite full with some great carbonation. I thought this was slightly too dry and some light traces of alcohol were slightly disappointing.

From bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours dark brown and with a lacing light brown head. Slight banana fruity and spiced aroma. Flavour is slight acidic/citric with a banana note and fruity overall. Mild malt note beneath. Finish is sweet lingering of the same notes. Nice brew although I’m not sure it was clean.

Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007: Poured a walnut nut brown color with a white head. The aroma is full of spice and sugars. The taste was that of old shoes, very malty with spice. Sourness remained after consumption. Don’t get my description of the taste wrong, it is very drinkable.

Dark brown chocolate colour; small yellowish rim. Rainwater, dark leaves, some chocolate, brown candi sugar (oh yes, I cannot smell that, parole de brasseurs). Sweetish, a lot of liquorice, some milkchocolater, and again the undetectable brown sugar. Bit of human sweat retronasal. Pretty clean palate, and dangerously drinkable for its 8.5%. Not really my type, but for fans of sweet beer, it might be a winner. Dangerous, as said!
