(33cl bottle) Hazy, reddish brown colour with a short beige foamy head. Sugary sweet and toasted malty aroma with strong notes of caramel and a tinge of licorice, accompanied by flowery and spicy notes. Sweet and sourish tart flavour, just medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malty taste with caramel and strong sourish fruity flavours that let me think about an ongoing infection (despite the brew is bb 12/09). Slightly bitter and toasty but mainly sourish and minimal tart finish (02.VI.09).

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Malty decent strong dark Belgian ale. OK. Last beer of the session for me. Man behind the bar was very kind and gave this to me for free

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Hazy gold, lasting beige head. Quite a smooth tripel, not overly estery, some rose petal, some hop. Very smooth. Not great character but smooth, easy drinking and still some sting on the finish.

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Hazy gold, thick ivory head. Wow, that’s like an English pale ale. Quite soft and light but goood hops. Likeable if not terribly complex. Good hop sting.

Draught at ZBF09. Aroma of baking yeast. Cloudy dark yellow colour. Small stable creamy white head. The flavour has some baking yeast and smoke. Old campfire notes, mild yet distinct. The smoke flavour disappears after a few sips.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival, March 7th and 8th 09 Pours Pours amber with a light beige head, some icing sugar and brown sugar combine on the nose. The taste is simple but unsuprisingly given the aroma maybe a touch on the sweet side. Maltiness carries and there are molasses and toffee with some fruit, its fine. A6 A4 F6 P3 OV13 3.2

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a huge cream colored head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices especially coriander and also fruit, where oranges are most dominant. The flavor is sweet malty with spicy notes of coriander combined with fruity notes, leads to a dry spicy finish. It has a nice body.

Bottle, 4.6%. Clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly sweet and vinous. OK mouthfeel. Nothing wrong with it, just a little anonyous. Tastes like a German macro brew, which is quite surprising for a Belgian lager.
