Bouteille de 750 ml. Que de la mousse lors du versement dans le verre. Effervescence trop vive. Un nez fruité et épicé aux notes de banane et de fruits tropicaux avec un léger côté vineux. Subtiles notes de clou et de cannelle. Alcool présent. Dorée au look, voilée et surtout assortie d’une effervescence trop abondante. Il faut la verser avec parcimonie dans le verre. L’effervescence est encore une fois prenante en entrée de bouche avec un fort goût d’alcool à la limite du solvant. On dénote bien quelques accents de banane et de fruits tropicaux en sourdine ainsi qu’une finale herbacée tranchante; ou, est-ce carrément son puissant alcool qui me donne cette impression. Il va sans dire que je n’ai pas beaucoup de plaisir à boire cette bière. Dommage, Beau’s nous avait habitué à de meilleurs produits. Peut-être est-ce une mauvaise bouteille? Donnons leur le bénéfice du doute.

Draft - Sweet Caramel and toffee. Clearish copper no head. Sweet and caramel with toffee notes. Tons of raisin and a nice finish.

Pours a hazy dark brown colour with ruby highlights. Mocha-coloured frothy head, decent retention and creamy lace. Chocolate smell at first but the molasses do take over. Then, some darker malts giving some fruitiness with mild hops. Silky, oily mouthfeel with light dryness in the finish. Coffee notes lingers in the taste. Other than that, pretty malty. A nice balance between the sweetness and bitterness. Goes down well overall.

4 oz. draft at Extreme Beer Fest, 3 Feb, 2018. Appearance shows weak spice, subtle apple, mild mineral hints. Tastes more like a cider than a gruit. (just and observation) Flavor is mild apple and real tame spice. Body is light.

4 oz. draft at Extreme Beer Fest, 3 Feb, 2018.Deeper golden appearance, foamy head. Aroma shows milled grain, mild fruit, weak spice. Flavor follows the aromas. mildly earthy, floral. Very subtle overall.
