Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours near black with small beige to tanned head. Aroma is quite roasty with notes of dark dried fruits. Taste of roasted malts and liquorice with a lactose sweetness that's not overdone. Semi-drying and slick medium body. Good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear chestnut pour with nice off-white head. Aroma of berries, toffee, hint of chocolate, toast. Taste has decent malt notes of toffee and bread with a dried fruit and berry tang and earthy and toasted malt bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear amber to brown colour with small consistent beige top. Aroma of brown bread, caramel, raisin. Taste of caramel, toasted malt, hint of chocolate, mixed dried fruit and a bitter nutty finish. I really like this, has a session quality but still has some complexity to it. An excellent bitter.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear dark gold with small white top. Aroma of malt, floral citrus, grapefruit and light pine. Nice hop profile here for a traditional botted beer - citrus, pine, grapefruit, flora, light biscuit malt character. Has a decent bitter finish with some sweet notes still coming through. Medium bodied.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear dark gold, small white top. Sweet malt, coriander and caramel aroma; clean and pleasant. Taste of caramel, orange peel, coriander, grassy bitter bite. Nice indeed. Not particularly wheat noted and makes me wonder if barley is still the main malt used. Nonetheless I like this, quite tasty and goes down easily.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Clear dark gold, small white head, some retention. Aroma of herbs, floral resin, apple. Taste is floral, resinous, herbal, biscuit, dry moderate finish. Light to medium bodied, chewy. Not my favourite style of pale ale.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a cloudy brown/reddish colour with small white head but nice retention and lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet light toasty malts, nuts, light floral notes. Taste of tea, nuts, caramel, light sourness, floral bitter hops. Near medium bodied, quite carbonated. Interesting certainly. A beer that grows on you.
