Description
Tunnel Brewery is dedicated to using the finest, local, raw materials, such as Maris Otter malts and First Gold hops, grown in the garden of Worcestershire. These will be matched alongside traditional English brewing methods.
Started brewing in 2005 at The Lord Nelson Inn on Birmingham Rd in Ansley. Moved in 2011 to the Red House Farm. In 2015 the Brewery was taken over by Indian Brewery. The Tunnel brand was gradually shut down after the take over. Tunnel Brewery then split off at some stage as a separate company and is now active as a client brewer.
Changed name into Time For Beer in 2020.

Bottle picked up from the Dodgi’ Deli’, Cowley Road, Oxford and consumed whilst gliding down the Thames on a narrowboat Poured fairly standard brown with large white head, hoppy aroma. Slight sourness initially, but malts were present, hops again and bit fruity ending with a dry bitter finish.

Bottle from the Dodgi Deli Cowley Road, Oxford, 03-08-07. Poured golden, maybe bit darker, good white head. Great hop hit, nice zingy citrus pithiness leading to quite a dry finish, refreshingly lacking in sweetness and tasted better and stronger than 4.6% really punched above it’s weight and you felt that this brewery had eeaked as much out of this beer as they possibly could. Aroma was nice and citrusy bit floral maybe. Very nice IPA even at this strength.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Fruity, appleish aroma. Medium body with lightly tart apple notes and a dry finish. If the intention was to make a genuine Hefe then this failed miserably. 270607

Cask gravity at London Drinker BF 07. Pale chestnut colour with a slight haze. Thin beige head. I love the hop on this. Sharp US style grapefruity, lots of flavour. Lots of hop, but not sure it works, but lots of grapefruit hop.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A pale orange beer with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of diacethyl and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of honey, leading to a dry sweet end with notes of pollen.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Pigs Ear BF. Deep ruby, tan head. Fart, plastic aroma. Nice enough in mouth, but got plastic on finish. Coffee/choc. Better in mouth. Odd. Get’s a lot to be used to it.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 2 Aug) Colour is dark copper, with a foamy head. Nose is fruity, with notes of floral hops, nuts (walnut?) and honey. Taste is fruity with an initial honey sweetness, turning into a drier finish with a floral hop bittreness. Not really exciting, but still rather nice.

[Cask at GBBF] Light aroma of caramel and flowery hops. Sweet with firm rounded mouthfeel. Light resiny bitter finish. Uncomplicated.
