Description
Tunnel Brewery is dedicated to using the finest, local, raw materials, such as Maris Otter malts and First Gold hops, grown in the garden of Worcestershire. These will be matched alongside traditional English brewing methods.

Started brewing in 2005 at The Lord Nelson Inn on Birmingham Rd in Ansley. Moved in 2011 to the Red House Farm. In 2015 the Brewery was taken over by Indian Brewery. The Tunnel brand was gradually shut down after the take over. Tunnel Brewery then split off at some stage as a separate company and is now active as a client brewer.

Changed name into Time For Beer in 2020.

Crisp golden coloured body with orange highlights, a thick tan head and zillions of small bubbles rising from the bottom - this one looks brilliant. Perhaps, that’s why when I cracked the cap, the bottle exploded - but only for a second. Aroma of floral hops, apricots, a light sweetness and a touch of alcohol - nice! Medium-bodied; Effervescent feel up front with floral and slightly grassy hops coming through with a very mild taste only having some malt and limited complexity. Aftertaste is mild, effervescent and only showing a small amount of hops - too bad. Overall, the look and smell of this one are great, but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased at the Utobeer Market Stall in Borough, London, England on 29-November-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 04-April-2009.

Deep golden orange coloured body with a light amber tint and a thinnish white head. Aroma of bitter english hops, malt, caramel and a twinge of pit fruits. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with a nice sweetness, a touch of malt bitterness all with a good hoppy finish. Refreshing! Overall, a good beer, definitely worth trying, especially if you can find it on cask. I sampled this pint on cask at The Rake in London, England on 10-March-2008.

500ml bottle from Tesco’s, Towcester. Hazy straw with a fast fading white head; slightly offputting citrus and estery aroma; caramel sweetness, and a prickly dry finish. A very underwhelming beer.

BCA. Amber coloured with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate malts, red fruit and orange hops. Flavour was sweet, with some chewy malts, more chocolate, spice and red fruit, before a short bitter finish. Good.

BCA. Opaque, near black in colour with a momentary tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, prunes and roasted malt. Flavour had plenty of chocolate, more roastiness and a hint of salty sourness in the finish. Unusual.
